Truth, Donald Trump's social network becomes reality: it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store

Much more like Twitter than Facebook and, by intent, a weapon to be used in view of the MidTerm elections and the 2024 Presidential elections. From midnight on Sunday, Truth, Donald Trump's new social network it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. For now, the platform is only available in the United States. Full operation is scheduled for the end of March.

The announcement was made by Devin Nunes former Republican congressman and administrator of the Trump Media and Technology Group, the start-up created by the former president that manages Truth.

After the notice from Facebook Twitter and Youtube established in the aftermath of the assault on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, Donald Trump returns to communicate "directly" with his supporters, without intermediaries, as happened when he was in the White House. And he does it up a social network that will act as a megaphone where he himself establishes the rules and where he will be able to let off steam after more than a year of silence imposed by big tech. The social network aims to become a point of reference of the hard and pure conservative right, the one who still believes that Joe Biden won thanks to a "conspiracy" and that the elections were rigged. Ironic therefore the fact that the social platform has been called Truth, which in Italian means "truth".

Its operation will be very similar to that of Twitter, the former tycoon's favorite social network. Users will be able to communicate with each other through direct messages, you will be able to receive notifications and block other users.

At this point we will have to wait to see what it will be the fate of the social network: if it will remain a niche platform or if it will conquer a large audience, acting as a driving force for Trump's possible candidacy in the presidential elections to be held in 2024.
