Trump, three hawks for Justice, Security and the CIA

Donald Trump's team takes shape in the White House. While the favorite for the key role of secretary of state is Rudi Giuliani and there are always rumors of the newly elected president's intention to place his son-in-law Jared Kushner (husband of daughter Ivanka) in the team of advisers, Trump has appointed the first three Sickles to Justice, the CIA and National Security.

For the Justice Department, the name chosen is that of Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, 69: he was Trump's very first supporter, soon becoming one of his most listened to advisers. He has all the stigmas to enter the next administration, being unreservedly hostile to illegal immigration, abortion, gay equality.

The other new, already official name is the new director of the CIA, i.e. head of intelligence: he will be Kansas MP Mike Pompeo who immediately tweeted: "I can't wait to dismantle this disastrous agreement with the largest state sponsor of the terrorism of the world”, referring to Iran.

Finally, the elected president, who will take office on January 20, offered the role of National Security Advisor to General Michael Flynn. Flynn, 57, is another first-hour collaborator. To be an isolationist, as his detractors claim, so far he would seem to be mainly interested in what happens across the border, or close to it.
