Trump Assembles Team: From Musk to Kennedy Jr., Here's Who Could Be in the Future Administration

It's been just 24 hours since the victory of Donald Trump. And while some states are still working to provide the final data, the president-elect's aides have already immersed themselves in the next challenge: choosing the people who will join the republican administration starting January 20, 2025. And in the United States it is already the guessing game has started. Among the thousand hypotheses at the moment there seem to be only two, or perhaps three, certainties. Elon Musk will sit at that table, it is not yet known in what capacity. They will probably tailor a role for him, like cost cutter and super minister of efficiency. But he won't be the only controversial character to take part in the match: there will also be Robert Kennedy Jr., former no vax presidential candidate who, paradox of paradoxes, could have an important role in the Department of Health (even if in the last few hours some rumors indicate that he could be moved elsewhere).

On the other names, Trump's transition team continues to work. According to the Washington Post, in fact, the two people at the head of the group, namely Howard Lutnick and Linda McMahon (wife of Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE wrestling league) are already testing the waters and curriculum.

Trump Administration: Here's the Name-Making Game

And let's start from the main task: that of chief of staff, the most important non-elective role in America. And if in the famous series The West Wing President Bartlet's right-hand man was Leo McGarry, in reality the person leading President Trump's executive office could be Susie Wiles, who directed his electoral campaign and who, not by chance, Trump thanked during his speech victory speech. One possible alternative is Brooke Rollins, president and CEO of the America First Policy Institute.

Another fundamental task will be that of Secretary of State which corresponds to the Italian Foreign Minister, but with much more power. Among the names in circulation are Marco Rubio, a senator from Florida who is already in the running as a possible vice president, Bill Hagerty, a senator who was an economic advisor to the White House during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, and Rick Grenell, former acting director of national intelligence.

Al Department of Defense Another senator could go instead, Tom Cotton, a war veteran, or Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State under the Trump administration from 2018 to 2021.

For Tesoro the names of Howard Lutnick himself, head of the Cantor Fitzgerald investment fund, and John Paulson, a long-time financier and Trump ally, are circulating. But the list of billionaires who have supported Trump in this third race for the White House is much longer than in the past, and therefore there will be many who will try to assert their support on Wall Street. In any case, it is a very delicate role, considering that, according to analysts, what would have given Donald Trump such a clear victory would have been precisely the trust that voters would have placed in him in the economic field.

John Fleming, a former Trump administration official and deputy chief of staff in 2020 and currently Louisiana treasurer, could instead take a senior position at Department of Commerce
