Trump and Kim put the atomic war on file

Historical turning point in relations between United States e North Korea. After 70 years of accusations and threats, the US president on Tuesday 12 June 2018 Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un they shook hands and signed a document, definitively shelving the danger of an atomic conflict. The summit was held in Singapore and was the first ever between Washington and Pyongyang's leaders.

The document states that during the meeting the two leaders "had an organic, in-depth and sincere exchange of views on the creation of new relations between the United States and North Korea and on issues related to the creation of a solid and lasting peace on the Korean peninsula”. Trump “committed to providing North Korea with security guarantees” and Kim Jong Un “said its firm and unwavering commitment to a complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula”. All to meet "the desire for peace and prosperity" of the two countries.

“We will face a very big and dangerous problem for the world – Trump said after signing – Really very positive progress has been made, better than anyone would have expected. The letter we signed is very organic, I think both sides are very impressed with the results. North Korea's denuclearization process will begin 'very quickly".

Kim Jong Un added that the two countries "leave the past behind" and that "the world will witness a huge change”, which is why the leader expressed “gratitude to President Trump for making this meeting possible”.

However, the summit is only the first step on a path that the United States, Japan, China and South Korea hope will lead to the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. "Many people in the world will think that this is a kind of fantasy from a science fiction film - the American President said again - but it is not so, because the document has been signed".

Trump then announced that he would meet with Kim again in the future: “I will definitely invite him to the White House – he said – He is a very intelligent negotiator, we have mutually learned a lot about our countries and about us. He is a talented man and I understood that he loves his country a lot about him ”.
