Trump and Clinton triumph in New York

The nominations for the White House now seem closed – Hillary prevailed over Sanders with a lead of 17 percentage points – Crushing success also for Trump, who according to the first votes counted has 69,5% of the preferences.

Once again Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump win the primaries respectively in the Democratic and Republican fields now, now moving towards the final nomination for the White House.

In New York State, Hillary first scored a narrow lead over Bernie Sanders, 52% against the rival's 48%. Then the gap gradually widened, exceeding 17 points.  

“After this victory in New York we have reached 10 million votes overall. We are in the final straight,” Clinton commented.

Crushing success also for Trump, who on the basis of the first votes counted has 69,5% of the preferences, against 18,3% of the governor of Ohio John Kasich and 12,1% of the Texan senator Ted Cruz.
