“In recent days, I warned the prime minister that the partnership with ChemChina could materialize in the following days – he said – and the reaction was positive. Pirelli has a Chinese majority shareholder but head and heart remain in Italy. So he continues on his way and gets stronger ”.
As for the change in his role in the company (no longer president but only managing director), Tronchetti Provera replied with a joke: "It makes me feel younger, because after a certain age we all become presidents".
