Trenitalia together with Enit to relaunch tourism in Italy

Trenitalia has reconfirmed its collaboration with ENIT, the National Tourism Agency, to enhance the travel experiences in Italy.

La “This is Ischia” campaign, promoted by Enit, will be hosted on board of Frecciarossa and Frecciargento for the promotion and support of the island.

The initiative was presented today during the edition of BIT 2023, International Tourism Exchange, in Milan where theCEO by Enit Ivana Jelinic andAD e General Manager di Trenitalia, Louis Corradi have initiated a dialogue on the theme "The international development of tourism and the value of sustainability".

Furthermore, during the event the sector operators were presented with the Passenger Pole of the FS Group, which unites Trenitalia, Busitalia and Ferrovie del Sud Est.

Important numbers in 2022, positive signs for 2023

Italy in 2022 scored one great recovery in travelling; there are many people who have chosen the train as a means of travel along the peninsula. Excellent numbers for Trenitalia which recorded over 1 million passengers a day and almost 400 million trips. Italy which was also particularly popular with foreign tourists, whose purchases of Trenitalia products increased by 2022% in 25 compared to 2019.
The bookings recorded for travel in the first three months of 2023 confirm the positive expectations of further growth in the trend.
The goal for Trenitalia is to bring images of the Peninsula on board the high-speed train and, in particular of the ccampaign #Thisisischia, to stimulate the trip to Italy.

Promote sustainable mobility

Tourism is growing and that must be fostered through a sustainable mobility more integrated with means of transport with low environmental impact.
Trenitalia undertakes to promote a system of mobility centered on shared transport and on the integration between the different modes of transport, including the possibility of bringing the bike on board.

“Il train is the means of ideal transport for tourists who decide to spend their vacation in our country, because it is efficient and sustainable also from an economic point of view. The collaboration with Enit, started last year with Intercity and further strengthened this year with the Frecciarossa and the Frecciargento, for support tourism of the island of Ischia, is part of this virtuous path” declared the General Manager of Trenitalia, Louis Corradi.

The eyes of passengers from all over the world will be able to have glimpses of the Peninsula to visit or to keep even when returning to their own country.
