Choosing your seat when purchasing your ticket is the new function available from today on the free Trenitalia App for Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca and InterCity customers. The mobile platform is further enriched, continuing to satisfy traveler requests and improve the customer experience of its customers. After expanding the range of offers and salable products, including InterCity Notte and international trains; have introduced the ability to use the Apple Wallet for iOS customers and of manage the journey offline by retrieving the ticket in the absence of an internet connection, here comes the function that allows you to choose the carriage and the place to sit.

These services are added to those already available, such as the ability to see the train timetable, purchase both single journey tickets, even without registration, and season tickets, request rebookings and refunds, check the balance of CartaFRECCIA points, receive push notifications on the progress of the chosen train, whether Freccia or Regional and, above all, personalized Smart Caring, for regional transport, currently active in the Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Tuscany, Liguria, Veneto and Piedmont regions, which allows you to receive real-time push notifications on the status of the line and train on which you have chosen to be informed.

The application, which functions as an information, sales and caring channel, has over 2,7 million downloads and boasts a high approval rating among user ratings in online stores. Thanks to the service offered by the mobile platform, tickets sold have almost doubled (+96%) compared to 2016.
