Starting January 1, 2022 joint conciliation also for passengers on the regional transport of Trenitalia (FS Italiane Group). After providing the tools to facilitate the resolution of disputes to Frecce and Intercity passengers in 2009, Trenitalia will now extend them to regional services as well. A tool developed together with consumer associations with the aim of resolving small disputes between Trenitalia and passengers simply, quickly and out of court.
The webform to be filled in to submit applications has been online since the beginning of the year on the website trenitalia.com. Passengers can use this tool in the event of a response deemed unsatisfactory or if they have not received any response within 30 days of submitting the complaint.
The start of the procedure for the services of the regional transport constitutes the arrival point of a process that began last December 2019, continued in July 2020 with the start of discussions between Trenitalia and the world of associations and culminated on 23 March 2021 with the signing of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Company and 18 consumer associations.
