After the reverse on the increase in the price of high-speed season tickets, Trenitalia also announces the arrival of refunds for those who have already purchased tickets at higher prices.
We remind you that the price of the most requested season ticket increased by 10% (Mon-Fri, without time limits). On the other hand, the reductions in the types of passes for the 9-17 range were confirmed, which had already dropped by 15% (Mon – Fri, 9-17) and by 5% (7 days, 9-17).
The new March high-speed season tickets will be available for purchase from 14 February. It was also decided to make the reduction retroactive, thus reimbursing February season ticket holders. From 9 February, with the entry of the new prices on Trenitalia's computer systems, it will be possible to request a refund, which will take place within 30 days.
Those who purchased by credit card will receive a refund by direct credit, without the need for any request. In other cases, the season ticket holder will be able to choose between bank transfer, check or bonus, by filling in the appropriate web form on trenitalia.com or by submitting a written request at one of the Trenitalia ticket offices.
