Trains: Italo starts again with more runs and arrives in Calabria

Italo raises and doubles. The private rail transport operator resumes its activity at full capacity, in maximum safety, and starting from Thursday 21 May it will also announce a series of important news for travellers, in view of the summer season. Among these, there is a new increase in daily trips, after the forced slowdown of recent months, in order to guarantee both the movements of the millions of Italians who have returned to work, and the right distance between passengers on board the carriages. The system is the one already used and the most logical: arrangement of seats in a chessboard, unusable seats marked and clearly not even bookable during the purchase phase.

The trains that belong to the Ntv company also implement regular sanitization interventions and cleaning on board the train, the installation of disinfectant gel dispensers in the carriage, the availability of safety kits for those who do not have one and ticket checks in compliance with the correct distances. But in addition to safety there is also the renewal of the offer: meanwhile, in addition to the 2 current services between Rome and Venice, 21 new departures will be reintroduced on 6 May on the Turin-Milan-Rome-Naples backbone, with timetables that cover the entire span of the day. And above all, with the entry into force of the summer timetable (June 14), journeys will gradually increase throughout the season and new routes will be added.

In fact, from 14 June Italo will arrive for the first time as far as Reggio Calabria. The new destination will allow travelers to be brought to the tourist resorts of Cilento and Calabria, with intermediate stops in Agropoli/Castellabate, Vallo della Lucania, Sapri, Paola, Lamezia Terme, Rosarno and Villa San Giovanni. You can get to Reggio Calabria without changes, with direct links from Turin, Milan, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Salerno. Tickets for these new destinations are already on sale: there will be 2 departures from Turin to Reggio Calabria (5am and 23pm) and the same number from Reggio to return to the North (13am and 19pm) .
