Transport strike Friday 17 November 2023

Workers in the transport sector, excluding air transport, they will cross their arms from 9 to 13. It's about bus numbers, tram e metro, in compliance with the guarantee bands. Same range for maritime transport: ships e Ferries with departure delays of 24 hours, with the exception of essential services. Also taxi, car rental with and without driver and funeral transport they adhere to the abstention for 24 hours. However, the ATM in Milan will not join: there is not a sufficient interval with respect to the last strike called by independent groups on Friday 10 November (10 days must pass). Same thing also for Tper of Bologna and Anm of Naples.

Trains: delays and cancellations from 9am to 13pm

Apart from Trenord, all railway lines stop with the same methods and times as local public transport. Trenitalia announces that from 9 am to 13 pm on Friday 17 November trains may be subject to cancellations or variations, even before the start and after the conclusion of the national strike of the Fs Group staff (which includes Trenitalia and Trenitalia Tper, excluding the staff of Trenitalia in Piedmont). The protected periods remain: in regional transport, services are ensured during the busiest times, i.e. from 6am to 9am and from 18pm to 21pm.

Also from Italo let it be known that inconveniences may occur. On the company website it is specified that in addition to guaranteed trains all trains capable of reaching the final destination station within an hour of the start of the protest will arrive at their destination. The mobilization also concerns rail freight transport.

Who else is going on strike on Friday 17 November?

The 8-hour strike or internal work shift concerns the public sector: the garbage collection and environmental hygiene workers, the Health, school (for the entire working day, schools of all levels, including universities and research, as well as the student network), the posed and postal services. 8-hour strike also for central state functions. Not only. The 8-hour stop concerns the regions of the Center and therefore the workers of the remaining categories, of the private sector: come on metalworkers atbuilding up to business.

The strike of the Firefighters limited to 4 hours, always from 9am to 13pm. 

Finally, the employees viability of motorways and Anas they strike for the whole day, or part of it, while still ensuring road safety.

Who isn't going on strike on Friday 17 November?

For the moment, several sectors are excluded from the protest: water, fuel, pharmacies, energy (oil and gas), security institutes, cleaning and multi-services, radio, television and telecommunications, collective catering, laundries.
