Through sound and, in some cases, through the movement of their components, the works come to life placing themselves in a condition of temporal variability. Despite being an expression of distinct poetics and referring to different techniques and styles, they share this condition and therefore constitute an organic whole, a path that draws our attention to evanescence and passage, showing various ways in which the association of transient phenomena to static realities can change our perception, and ultimately our aesthetic evaluation of a particular object.

Set up in the upper rooms of Santa Margherita Palace, the exhibition presents five installations: works by Shingo Inao, Pe Lang, Donato Piccolo, Edgardo Rudnitzky and Michele Spanghero, works where sound represents a crucial structural element, investigated through the experimentation of different materials such as magnetic, electric and mechanical devices, instruments and graphic musical scores, or everyday objects.

The title of the event, “Transient“, refers to the dynamism of the works on display.
After the inauguration, the exhibition will be open on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June from 10.30 to 24.00 and Sunday 8 June from 10.30 to 19.30. Admission is free.
