BETWEEN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE TRANSFER MARKET – Milan smiles, Inter sinks

The Rossoneri returned to victory after 40 days: 3 to 1 over Parma with braces from Menez and goals from Zaccardo - Yesterday Milan finalized the purchase of Paletta for the defense - Crisis getting heavier instead at Inter, defeated by 3 to 1 from Sassuolo – So far Mancini has done worse than Mazzarri and all he can do is hope for the transfer market: Santon is back.

BETWEEN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE TRANSFER MARKET – Milan smiles, Inter sinks

A Milan with two faces. The Rossoneri were smiling, returning to victory after almost two months against derelict Parma, the Nerazzurri were livid, defeated by Sassuolo and grappling with a very deep crisis. The power of the ball, capable of overturning the moods of a city in just one day: up until yesterday, in fact, Milan seemed to be worse off, but this Monday is decidedly tougher for Inter. The collapse of Reggio Emilia is likely to leave rather heavy aftermath, both in terms of classification (the distance between the relegation zone and the Europa League is the same) and morale.

What happened in the post match is unbelievable, with Icardi and Guarin challenged by the Curva Nord and grappling with a real nervous breakdown (“you are pieces of m….” the Argentine's lip). Subsequently, the same players, together with other players, returned to the fans to apologise, but we can bet that next Sunday, against Palermo, the reception at San Siro will be anything but festive.

“The players are trying their hardest, the fans too have to help us – Mancini thought immediately after the match. – The team entered the field well, pressed high, created actions but conceded at the first opportunity. In this period everything is really bad for us ”. The coach from Jesi also ends up under accusation, whose performance (10 points in as many matches) is even worse than that of Mazzarri. It's clear that having taken over in the race gives him extenuating circumstances, but the Inter world expected much more.

The nerazzurri have an embarrassing fragility and Sassuolo has done nothing but take advantage of it. In the 18th minute Zaza made it 1-0 with a left footed shot under the cross and in the 30th minute Sansone, not to be outdone, doubled up with his right foot. In all of this, however, Inter's defence, much altered yesterday, remained on the sidelines. The reaction, if we can talk about it, was only seen in a few episodes: a right foot from Shaqiri that ended up on the post (65') and a header from Dodò saved by Consigli (76').

The photograph of the Nerazzurri's moment is what happened in the 70th minute, with Mancini ready to replace the Brazilian himself (for Brozovic) and the staff to signal Vidic's exit to the fourth official. In the final then the episode that could have reopened the match: wrong back pass by Magnanelli and goal by Icardi (11th in the league). Is everything up for discussion? Not even for a dream because Sassuolo, meanwhile left with 10 players due to Sansone's expulsion, made it 3-1 with a penalty from Berardi (foul by Donkor, who was also sent off, on Zaza). There is still the market to give Inter a shred of hope, which at the photo-finish should give Mancini a defender and a midfielder.

Rhodolfo is not completely convincing, the alternative could be Richards from Fiorentina, already with Mancio at the time of the City. In the middle, Ledesma's quotations rise, in a run-off with the ever-present Diarra. In the meantime, the Nerazzurri have bought Santon, arriving from Newcastle on a loan deal with an obligation to buy (4 million) in the event of 13 appearances.

Smiles, albeit pale, at Milan, where victory returned after more than 40 days. In fact, the last one dates back to last December 13 (2-0 against Napoli), since then 2 draws and 3 defeats (4 also considering the Italian Cup). Yesterday's match against Parma shouldn't have gone wrong for any reason and the Rossoneri, despite playing decidedly spartan football, didn't do it. Of the 3-1 at San Siro, the result above all needs to be saved but these days there's no need to be so picky: now the Europa League area is "only" 5 points away.

“When you are missing 7/8 starters, the important thing is to win – confirmed Inzaghi. – This team is coming from a difficult period, now we have to find serenity and certainties again, in this sense I hope this could have been the turning point. However, I have always been calm, I saw in training that the boys were with me ". Once again, as always in this season's victories, the great protagonist was Menez. The Frenchman, deployed as attacking midfielder in Superpippo's 4-2-3-1 (Destro first striker, Honda and Cerci on the wing), first unlocked the match on a penalty kick (17', touch with Rodriguez's arm), then doubled with a very angled left foot (57'), finally serving Zaccardo the ball for the third goal (76').

In between, little play, many isolated initiatives and a few glimpses of Parma. In the 24th minute, in fact, the ducals had got the match back on track with Nocerino (yet another goal from a set piece taken by Milan) and at the end of time they had even come close to taking the lead (double save by Diego Lopez on Varela and on the ex Rossonero himself). Also worth noting is a post by Alex on a free kick (32') and a header by Destro that ended up narrowly gone (35'). Football Sunday has been archived, it will also be transfer market time for Milan. Sfumato Munoz (the Argentine will arrive in the summer), Galliani dived into Paletta, closing with Parma on the basis of 1 million (medical visits this morning). The games should therefore be over, unless the CEO, ignored yesterday by the Curva Sud, does not give a few more blows in extremis.
