Toyota-Bmw, very close to the agreement for the exchange between hybrid technology and turbo-diesel parts

The agreement between Toyota and BMW is almost done. According to the German newspaper «Suddeutsche Zeitung», the Japanese manufacturer will supply the German company with hybrid technology in exchange for the "made in Germany" turbodiesel engines. The operation should be made official by the end of the week, but at the moment there are no confirmations or denials.

The only sure thing is that BMW aims to expand the range of low environmental impact cars to be ready to face the increasingly stringent anti-pollution regulations in force in Europe. For Toyota, the world leader in the field of hybrids, the agreement would bring the latest generation four-cylinder diesel engines into the house, with a considerable saving on development costs.

In short, for different reasons, but an agreement that suits both.
