Michael Matthews wins the fourteenth stage of the Tour de France, from Blagnac to Rodez, 181,5km. The Australian from Sunweb took off on the final climb (570 meters at 9,6%) beating the Olympian Van Avermaet and Boasson Hagen. But the last meters were also decisive for the general classification.
Chris Froome did well not to lose contact with the leaders (he finished 1" behind Matthews), while Fabio Aru remained behind, giving up 24" to the British rider from Sky and the yellow jersey. The leadership thus returns to Froome, who leads with 18" on Aru, 23" on Bardet (who gives 4" to the new leader) and 29" on Uran.
