Torino candidate to Italian capital of business culture 2024. THE'announcement was done by the president of theTurin Industrial Union, Giorgio Marsiaj, during the 2023 edition of the International Book Show of Turin during the meeting "Writing industry: business culture becomes a story" which marked the return of the Turin Confindustria system among the partners of the publishing event.

"We have chosen the Book Fair, the cultural appointment par excellence of our city, as an ideal occasion to communicate a decision recently taken by the Turin Industrial Union, an idea that has been nurtured for some time which in recent weeks, driven by growing enthusiasm, has taken the form of a project: that of Turin's candidacy as the Italian capital of business culture for 2024,” said Marsiaj.

Enhance the productive vocation of the area

Torino, therefore, will compete for the awarding of the recognition, established by Confindustria in 2019. The candidacy aims to enhance the historical productive vocation of the area and underline the fundamental role of culture and its industrial component in the economy and in society. These elements of distinctive growth and competitive identity will form the pillars of a candidacy dossier that will involve all local players.

“Today we take the first step of a journey along which we will go to involve all local stakeholders, to prepare, with the widest possible participation, a document worthy of Turin's legitimate ambitions, which has already demonstrated in the recent past that it knows how to command national and international attention when it has been capable of playing as a team” added the president of the Turin Industrial Union.

Corporate culture at the Turin Book Fair

Sul theme of corporate culture the appointment of the Turin Industrial Union set up in the Sala Azzurra for the opening day of the 2023 Book Fair was the focus.event's audience has even two round tables that they involved publishing industry experts and writers who addressed issues related to the evolution of the content industry and the role of the industrial world in the history of the country.

La first roundtable, entitled “The Evolution of the Content Industry”, saw the participation of Massimo Medugno, director of the Paper and Graphics Federation, Simone Lattes, managing director of S. Lattes & C. Editori, and Gabriele Comuzzo, deputy general manager of Gedi Gruppo Editoriale. The experts discussed the current scenario and prospects of the publishing and content production industry.

La second round table, Entitled "Corporate culture: in the history of industry, the story of the country", involved writers who tackled the subject of industry in their work. Among the guests were Paolo Bricco, author of “Adriano Olivetti. Un Italiano del Novecento”, Gian Arturo Ferrari, author of “Confidential history of Italian publishing”, and Alessandra Selmi, author of “This side of the river”.
