Turin, Design Auction (Sant'Agostino) on the occasion of Artissima

Sant'Agostino Casa d'Aste (Turin) on 12 November 2019 presents its 155th auction dedicated to design with over five hundred lots of furniture and furnishings that have made the history of Italian and international design.

Furnishings and objects can be previewed until Saturday 2 November from 10 to 18 on the occasion of the Turin week dedicated to contemporary art.

Of note is the large signed chandelier Angelo Mangiarotti from the Sella series made for the staircase of the Villa degli Oblò in the 70s is the table from the Eros series in Emperador Dark marble, an extremely rare wooden table covered in enamelled copper with bronze supports produced by Bernini in the 50s.

Angelo Lelli is present with some objects that have made the history of Italian design: the lamp mod. Triennale in the variant with pink, white and gray lampshades and a suspension lamp mod. 12369 produced by Arredoluce in about 1950

Signed objects Nerone Ceccarelli and NP2 Group including a large carved and pyrographed wooden panel from the 60s and two gilded wood sculptures from the 80s

Di Franco Albini we find the LB7 modular bookcase, in rosewood, produced by Poggi 1957; by Max Ingrand important designer lamps produced by Fontana Arte such as the engraved glass and brass ceiling light or the mod. 1995 in addition to the mirror in curved and ground colored glass mod. 1669.

Di Gio Ponti three armchairs mod. 516 produced by Cassina, Mario Bellini with a modular sofa mod. chameleon, Massimo Vignelli with a white marble version of the Metafora coffee table, Littell Ros with the pair of armchairs mod. PLR1 in chromed steel and leather; Charles de Carli with a rare dining table and chairs; Ettore Sottsass with the Totem sculpture in glazed terracotta produced by Bitossi in the 80s.

Representatives of radical design, Marzio Cecchi with the lamp mod. Porcupine produced by Casey Fantin in 1973 and Vittorio Gregotti with the lamp mod. Amalasunta.

And finally, objects made by historic Made in Italy companies such as StilnovoFontana ArteVeniniSegusoCrystal CompactionPoltronova and many others.
