Tommasi: "Hera prefers alliances with partners not too far away"

According to the president of Hera, alliances must also take into account territorial proximity – Is it a distance from the super-utility of the north? Maybe.

Tommasi: "Hera prefers alliances with partners not too far away"

A super multi-utility? "Nothing is clear yet, apart from some contacts between public shareholders, so any further comment would be premature". As the chairman of Hera, Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, consulted by FIRSTonline regarding a possible aggregation of the listed companies in the sector.

In the meantime, Hera continues its growth path: "We plan to bring home something new within the year". The aggregations on which the group focuses are close to the borders: “We go from the North-East to Pesaro, and we are interested in operations that can mature in these areas. We never look too far. However, these steps are compatible with wider-ranging projects".

A few days ago Hera made two small acquisitions in the photovoltaic sector: Amon di Copparo (FE) and Esole di Alfianello (BS). The 2011 figures are positive, while the company looks to the future with cautious optimism: “After four years of persistent economic crisis – concludes Tommasi – we continue to roll up our sleeves”.
