Tod's balance sheet items at the close of the first half year are all positive. The group active in the footwear sector recorded a profit of 65,4 million euros (+26,7% compared to the same period last year) and revenues of 439,5 million (+16,4%). Ebitda amounted to 115,6 million (+27,5%), while Ebit reached 96,4 million (+29,8%). Between January and June, the Tod's brand produced sales of 239,7 million euros, for an increase of 22,3% compared to the same period of 2010. As for the Hogan brand, revenues amounted to 148,3 million, growth of 7,9%.
“The half-year results once again confirm the validity of our strategy, which is allowing us to continue to grow double-digit in terms of revenues and to improve our already excellent profitability – commented Diego Della Valle, chairman and director group delegate -. The good results achieved in our stores, in all product categories and in all the markets in which we operate, demonstrate that customers increasingly appreciate the very high quality of our products and their iconic nature, characteristics that are even more interesting in market moments challenging, like the current one".
Italy remains the most profitable market for the group, which in its country of origin achieved sales of 226,1 million Euros (+11%). In the rest of Europe, revenues amounted to 91,2 million (+13,5%). Important acceleration also in the US market (+5,3% in the first quarter and +23,5% in the second on an annual basis).
“Our brands are increasingly appreciated in all markets, without exception – added Della Valle -. Considering the excellent results of order collection for next Autumn/Winter, I am confident that the second half of the year will also give us good satisfaction”.
In the wake of these results, just before 15 pm in Piazza Affari, Tod's stock gained around XNUMX percentage point.
