Tod's: Bonomi buys 3%, the stock takes off on the Stock Exchange (+7%)

Andrea Bonomi invests 60 million euros in Tod’s, by acquiring a stake equal to 3% of the capital. The operation gave wings to the company's share on the Stock Exchange, which today gains 7% one hour after the opening, to 64,95 euros per share. Like many competitors, Tod's lost ground in Piazza Affari in 2016, but only in the last month has it recovered 29%.

The communication relating to the new shareholding was sent to Consob yesterday evening by strategic capital, the investment fund dedicated to minority interests in listed companies. Like Investindustrial, Strategic Capital is controlled by BI-Invest, the Bonomi family holding company.

Bonomi's new stake in Tod's is lower only than that of the French giant Lvmh, which has 3,46% in its portfolio, and that of the asset manager Oppenheimer, a shareholder with 3,7%.
