Siae Microelettronica has reached an agreement with Alcatel Lucent for the acquisition of the Optics business. The agreement was signed today at the Ministry of Economic Development and represents a very important industrial policy operation for the relaunch of a strategic sector such as that of telecommunications in our country.
From next December 256st, according to the terms of the agreement (signed by all the trade unions), 1000 Alcatel workers (mostly highly skilled researchers) will join the XNUMX employees of Siae. The objective of the Italian company is to expand its market possibilities.
For the first five years, Alcatel Lucent will support the operation by transferring services and economic resources which, starting from 100% of the requirement in the first year, will gradually decrease.
