The world of television is changing and tivùsat anticipates the change with great news. The new tivùsat-certified CAM 4K will soon be available in the best electronics stores, to access 4K channels and the entire tivùsat offer.

Until now, watching 4K TV has been done on an experimental basis, while from today to access the latest generation channels it is essential to have a 4K CAM or decoder connected to a 4K TV. Moreover, by 2025, the global 4K TV market will reach a value of 380,9 billion dollars. The 4K TV market is also growing in Italy, just think that last year 65 million devices were distributed to sales branches, while for the current year, estimates already speak of 74 million planned shipments. Overall, sales of 4K TVs in Europe represent around 22% of all sales on the television set market. While, in 2015 the 4K segment did not exceed 10% of the total market

The tivùsat certified 4K CAM is produced by SmatDTV and will be distributed by 4 producers: Humax, Digiquest, I ZAP and Telesystem. The package includes the 4K tivùsat smartcard which allows you to view free 4K Ultra HD channels.

But the tivùsat news doesn't end there, because 4KUniverse, the new entertainment channel in 4K HDR format, will soon be available on free satellite TV.

Tivùsat, which has exceeded 3,5 million active cards, presents its users with 4KUniverse. Channel that will broadcast in the 4K-HDR standard, with stunning images, which have 4 times the amount of pixels of HD, an extraordinary level of detail, a greater sense of depth and a feeling of total immersion in the content.

4KUniverse is a 24-hour general interest channel. Its wide range of 24K programming designed for an international audience includes morning broadcasts with the children's series “Eddie is a Yeti”; the vegan cooking series “Plant-Based by Nafsika”; special early evenings with TV series such as: "Model Turned Superstar", with Victoria's Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio and nightly broadcasts with new and surprising docu-films, such as "The Empire of Winds", an adventure on extreme skiing, shot in Patagonia.

With the entry of 4KUniverse, the TV channels on tivùsat become 115, of which 50 in HD and 5 in 4K UltraHD: 4K Universe joins Rai 4K, Eutelsat 4K1, Fashion Tv and NASA TV.

And big news coming soon with the addition of other channels in 4K, always available from number 200 on the tivùsat remote control.

To have tivùsat you don't need any subscription, just a tivùsat certified device connected to a satellite dish oriented towards Eutelsat Hotbird 13° East.
