Tiscali wins the Consip tender and flies to the stock market

The group won the tender for connectivity services to the public administration and won 60% of the supply. Two shares of 20% each were assigned to BT Italia and Vodafone-Ericsson.

Tiscali was awarded the tender, called by Consip, for theassignment of public administration connectivity services. The Cagliari-based group offered a global price of 265 million euros, the best weighted global total price, winning 60% of the supply. Two 20% shares were respectively assigned to BT Italia and Vodafone-Ericsson who accepted the adaptation of the offer to that of Tiscali.

The reaction of the title was very positive: around 11,10, in fact, the group led by Renato Soru leaps by 4,66%, at 0,0701 euros, after having reached a maximum of 0,0722 euros. Out of the ordinary trading: about 58 million shares have already changed hands, against an average of 46,5 million for the entire session in the last thirty days.

After being found to be the most advantageous in May 2014, states the note from the Sardinian ISP, "the offer presented has successfully passed all the economic and technical adequacy checks, once again confirming itself in first place in the ranking drawn up by Consip".

The tender relates to a framework contract for the provision of data transport, advanced communication, security and specialist consultancy services throughout the country, for a total duration of seven years.
According to Consip, the savings over the seven years compared to current costs are estimated at around two billion, a saving that is useful in the context of the broadband development plan.

The tender concerns the supply of data transport services in IP protocol, security services, communication services, in a framework defined by Consip with the Agency for digital Italy. Some appeals presented by some excluded telephone operators are pending on the tender.
