Tir, back to work. But another five days of strike are expected in March

At midnight the five days of strike by Italian hauliers expire, even if many trucks have already resumed work. However, this will only be a truce: the Trasportounito trade union has in fact declared that "faced with the attitude of the Government which has not opened any serious dialogue with the category", On Monday 6 February, the shutdown of transport companies using car transporters was confirmed, or hauliers engaged in the transport of cars.

But that is not all: hauliers have already announced another five-day nationwide strike in March. “We have provided all the principals of the hauliers – he said Maurizio Longo, secretary general of Trasportounito – the indication for a resumption of work.

But the total detachment from reality, once again highlighted by the behavior of the institutions, will force us once again to take to the streets: under arrest, there are no alternatives other than real intervention in the sector that makes effective those legal provisions that have remained until now a dead letter.

We are also willing to make a barter: the State keeps the economic resources destined for the sector, but gives us the rules with which we can work in total safety and not be strangled by the client".
