TIMVISION gives itself tofilm and television production e launches the first works resulting from agreements with some of the main players in the sector (including Wildside, Lucky Red, Cross Productions, Oplon Film and Bibi Film). It starts with "SKAM Italia" and "Dark Polo Gang - The series" for the younger audience, followed by "My brilliant friend", based on the best seller by Elena Ferrante and many other titles during 2018.
These productions are part of the DigiTIM strategy and complement the offer of the TIMVISION catalogue, currently chosen by 1 million customers. 2The goal – reads Tim's note – is to strengthen digital content and converging offers also thanks to original and exclusive premium titles or previews”.
The first appointment will be tomorrow with "SKAM Italy”, the series co-produced with Cross Productions directed by Ludovico Bessegato. This is the remake of the Norwegian cult series among teenagers from all over Europe. Due to its success, many countries are adapting it and in Italy it is TIMVISION that signs the exclusive.
Also for the very young audience, TIMVISION will produce the docuserie about the band"Dark Polo Gang”, a band that is a real phenomenon of popularity among the very young. The series, co-produced with Oplon Film in association with Ringo Film, is directed by Tommaso Bertani and Carlo Salsa.
In the next television season, TIMVISION will also launch “The brilliant friend", treatment from the best-selling novels by Elena Ferrante in the world. It is an HBO-RAI Fiction and TIMVISION series, produced by Lorenzo Mieli and Mario Gianani for Wildside and by Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in co-production with Umedia Production. All episodes will be directed by Saverio Costanzo.
Lastly, TIMVISION participates in film productions:“Ride”, directed by Jacopo Rondinelli (Lucky Red and Mercurious) is the first action thrillers on extreme sports shot entirely with advanced subjective shooting techniques. Also due out soon in French theaters and in Italy, “Manuel”, first work directed by the young director Dario Albertini (co-production with Bibi Film). The film presented this year at the 74th Venice Film Festival was highly appreciated by critics and audiences and has already won several European awards. Among the projects in the works are also international films and TV series.
