Tim first group in the world for diversity and inclusion according to Refinitiv (London Stock Exchange Group)

Refinitiv, a company LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), is one of the world's largest providers of financial markets data and infrastructure. The London Stock Exchange Group is the holding company born – in June 2007 – from the aggregation between the London Stock Exchange (London Stock Exchange) e the Italian Stock Exchange. The “Refinitiv D&I” index is by now a standard as regards the classification of companies in terms of inclusiveness. TIM e TIM Brasil to date, they are respectively the first company in Italy and in South America with regard to social inclusion policies.

Il Refinitiv's Diversity and Inclusion Index classifies over 12.000 companies globally and is based on public data - financial statements, financial reports, press reports, websites - which identify, through 24 specific metrics in 4 different areas (diversity, inclusion, people development and dispute management), the top 100 publicly traded companies representing i more inclusive workplaces.

Statistically, companies that implement diversity, inclusion, and human resource development measures deliver better performance over time than those who score lower or do not take these measures.

For TIM, this is an important result that rewards the company's commitment and represents a further stimulus to continue in the Diversity & Inclusion program, launched in 2009 and carried forward over the years with great participation of people and support from management. A path that still foresees many challenges and opportunities to be grasped and interpreted precisely in the light of the awareness that inclusion is not only an ethical value, but also a formidable performance engine for the company, closely correlated with people's engagement and satisfaction.

How the TIM Diversity&Inclusion plan works

TIM's Diversity&Inclusion plan includes more than 100 initiatives aimed at promoting the emergence of needs, the enhancement and uniqueness of people, inclusion and communication, divided into 5 main areas:

  • Culture of inclusion promoted internally with a detailed editorial and training plan and externally with various initiatives among which "4 Weeks 4 Inclusion" stands out - the marathon in which TIM involved over 200 companies in four weeks of inter-company events
  • Progetto Donna which intends to overcome the gender gap by acting on cultural dimensions such as the reduction of gender bias, the promotion of shared family and parental roles, the empowerment of women to facilitate the development of their careers, objectives for management on pay reduction gap and the presence of women on the Boards of Group companies
  • Longevity Program for overcoming age-related stereotypes by promoting intergenerational dialogue and the full valorisation of each generation, from "Z" to seniors
  • Disability Management which includes policies and tools, designed and identified by people with disabilities themselves, for their full integration
  • LGBT+ Management focused on the inclusion of LGBT+ people in teams and organization with an extended view of the family.
