Dream quarterly for Tim Participacoes, which scores a earnings boom of +116% every year. The result is linked to the increase in revenues, in turn induced by the expansion of the customer base. The Telecom Italia subsidiary, as well as the second largest Brazilian mobile operator, announced earnings of 316,6 million reais (about 134 million euros) for the June-September period.
Ebit rose by 83,5% (513 million reais), Ebitda by 11,3% (1,152 billion). The customer base reached 59,2 million (+26,1%), driven by the prepaid segment (+27,3%). The growth in market share has allowed the company to increase net revenues by 19% annually, to 4,37 billion reais (1,84 billion euros).
