Tim, Oracle and Noovle: plan for multicloud services in Italy

Tim, Oracle and Noovle, the cloud company controlled by the Tim group, have partnered to deliver multicloud services for businesses and public sector organizations in Italy.

According to the provisions, "the three companies intend to pool their respective assets and skills to develop and manage services for Italian companies, from a multicloud perspective", reads a joint note. Noovle, in particular, operates through its data-center network, Tim provides the network of points of sale in Italy which allows the integration of cloud services with the group's portfolio of ICT services: from IoT and 5G services to cybersecurity up to to advanced fixed and mobile connectivity services. Oracle, for its part, provides one of the most advanced (“second generation”) cloud infrastructures.

“A collaborative model, with the connection of the platforms of the main cloud providers in a multicloud environment, will support public and private organizations in addressing the challenges of digital transformation through advanced multicloud services, with operational efficiency, lower costs and high security standards”, continues the note.

The companies also announced today that Tim, as part of its multicloud strategy, has selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to migrate the group's mission-critical data management workloads to the cloud. Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) was also selected to optimize its Finance and Supply Chain processes and thus contribute to an increase in profitability.
