Tim, Leonardo, Cdp and Sogei present the final offer for the creation of the National Strategic Pole

The team made up of Tim, Leonardo, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (through the subsidiary CDP Equity) and Sogei, in compliance with the tender procedure, today presented the final offer for the construction of the National Strategic Hub as part of the European tender for the assignment, through a public-private partnership contract, of the design, construction and management of an infrastructure for the provision of cloud services for the Public Administration.

The offer proposed in the tender follows the private initiative project finance proposal presented by the same team in recent months and selected, last December 27, by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Digital Transformation (decree n. 47/2021 -PNRR), as a reference proposal for the purpose of launching the tender, having been assessed as fully compliant with the needs expressed in the Italy Cloud Strategy.

According to the offer, if the tender is awarded, a joint venture will be set up between the members of the team in the form of a joint-stock company for the provision of cloud solutions and services in support of the PA with a view to ensuring the highest possible level efficiency, security and data reliability.

The National Strategic Pole for a complete and safe digitalisation

The creation of the National Strategic Pole (which has been discussed for several years) will allow for a data and processing "storage" center on which to host the critical and strategic data and services of the PA and is one of the three fundamental objectives envisaged by the Cloud Strategy Italy, together with the classification of data and public services by the National Cyber Security Agency (ACN) and the migration to the cloud of data and digital services of the Public Administration.

The initiative is part of the overall acceleration plan of the digital transformation, with the aim of providing innovative services to citizens and businesses as required by the PNRR and by the regulatory interventions on digital infrastructures.
