Tim in Lis: customer assistance also in sign language

Tim's double initiative on the occasion of the International Day of Sign Languages. The first concerns all deaf customers, to whom the new 'TIMinLIS' technical assistance service will be dedicated from 1 October: customers, by entering their telephone number, will have the possibility of communicating with a LIS video interpreter and a TIM technician. The service is in collaboration with the company Veasyt, specialized in video-interpreting in LIS, an acronym which stands for Italian Sign Language. "Tim - adds a note -, always attentive to the issues of inclusion, is also carrying out an articulated program for deaf people internally, thanks to the adoption of new solutions that allow you to make calls, take advantage of online LIS interpreters at any time of the working day, to have training and internal communication in sign language or with subtitles. In this way, the company manages to guarantee each employee the possibility of expressing their talent by eliminating all barriers”.

The other initiative launched for the anniversary concerns the little ones, but not only: TimVision launches for the first time in the world 'We are made like this in LIS', the famous cartoon that illustrates with the help of animated characters the structure and functions of the human body. From Thursday 24 September am available on TimVision 26 episodes of the cartoon accompanied by tutorials of a couple of minutes to accompany the understanding of scientific terms not always present in sign language. A further initiative of the "TimVision speaks in LIS" project, which obtained the patronage of ENS - National Deaf Organization - launched last December, which offers cartoons in Italian Sign Language not only to younger deaf children but also thanks to the agreement with PROCIDIS, to a deaf audience over 8 years of age.
