Tim and Treccani together for the Digital Risorgimento

Next week excellences from the scientific and humanistic world will participate in the online school promoted by Tim - An initiative to bring digital culture into Italian homes through the testimony of public figures

Tim and Treccani together for the Digital Risorgimento

An initiative entirely dedicated to Italian culture. Tim, thanks to the collaboration with Treccani, will enrich the program Digital Risorgimento Operation, thanks to the participation of five "Masters" of the scientific and humanistic panorama.

From Monday to next Friday, five lessons held by world leaders in science and humanities, selected by the Institute of the Italian Encyclopaedia, will enrich next week's schedule of “Maestri d'Italia”.

The free and interactive online school promoted by Tim together with over 30 partners as part of the Operation Risorgimento Digitale program is available live on YouTube and Facebook channels and on demand.

In addition to the cycle of 30 lessons in live streaming with the excellence of Italian culture, the project also includes five master classes to develop digital skills and a large space of edutainment content for children.

Since 1925, the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani has accompanied the history of our country, to the point of becoming a systematic testimony of Italian cultural identity.

Thanks to this initiative, next week, five lessons of "Maestri d'Italia" will be held by some signatures particularly present in Treccani-branded digital publications.

They will take turns Thomas Montanari, art historian, journalist and essayist, Paolo Vineis, environmental epidemiologist, Silvia Onesti, chemist and biologist, Luca Serieanni, professor emeritus of the history of the Italian language and, finally, Gemma Calamandrei, psychobiologist and senior researcher at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

“The collaboration between Treccani and Tim in the context of Operation Risorgimento Digitale – declared the President of the Treccani Institute, Professor Franco Gallo – wants to highlight the extraordinary role in dissemination and training that, in the painful and difficult times we are living in, the vast scientific community gathered around our Institute is playing, creating a system among the most supportive and sensitive parts of the country, reaching more than one million unique users per day”.

Italian society must make a qualitative leap in the field of digital technologies. As pointed out by President Tim, Salvatore Rossi, the current health emergency has revealed how necessary connectivity and the digital world are for citizens and, above all, for young people. A way to increase our skills and knowledge, so as to improve our society also at a European level.
