TIM and Sony Mobile have signed an agreement which consolidates the relationship between the two companies in the common interest of accelerating the development of 5G technology in the near future. TIM will support Sony Mobile in all phases of product development in Italy, making available its ecosystem of partners active in the various Innovation Hubs, its technical know-how, the best resources of its research centers and access to tests 5G to make a 5G device commercially available.
"TIM and Sony Mobile have launched a long-term collaboration on 5G, with the aim of developing advanced solutions capable of enhancing the distinctive factors of Sony Mobile technologies, with particular reference to consumer and enterprise services" said Mario Di Mauro, Chief Strategy, Innovation & Customer Experience Officer of TIM. “This agreement once again reaffirms the irreplaceable value of innovation for two large companies such as TIM and Sony Mobile, both leaders in their sector but careful to exploit the synergies that can arise from sharing the experience of the services of a large operator such as TIM and the terminal expertise of a global player such as Sony Mobile”.
