A2A and Tim have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at accelerating the growth paths of the two companies respectively towards digital transformation and sustainable energy transition.
The agreement will allow A2a to speed up the path, already taken, of tdigital transformation, optimizing operational and commercial processes thanks to the use of the Tim Group's cloud, 5G and IoT services. Through the subsidiary Noovle, the company led by Luigi Gubitosi will make available the innovative solutions based on the technology of the strategic partner Google Cloud, in particular in the field of integrated management systems for commercial business processes and data analysis to support company decisions, which will allow A2A to be increasingly a data driven company. The Lombard multi-utility will also have the opportunity to use Tim's 5G and IoT services for the development of Smart City projects.
Tim, for his part, will be able to take advantage of the agreement signed with A2a to improve the energy efficiency of Noovle Data Centers, optimizing consumption and using renewable energy sources. In this regard, the group led by Renato Mazzoncini will offer Tim services and technologies in line with the principles of the circular economy "aimed, for example, at recovering the heat produced by the infrastructures to feed the district cooling/heating system to be used in the summer months or winter”, explain the two companies in a joint note. As part of the agreement, solutions for energy storage and for the supply of services and sale of recovered heat will be evaluated, with important advantages in terms of reduction of CO2 emissions.
