Tim-Dazn agreement reached on Serie A: exclusive stop on Timvision, agreement with Sky soon too

Dazn and Tim have reached theagreement on Serie A. According to Radiocor-Sole 24 Ore, the only thing missing is the signing of the agreement that will make Serie A visible no longer only on Timvision. Overcoming the originally agreed exclusivity would therefore allow the Dazn app to be used through other set top boxes and not just Tim's. Meanwhile, in Piazza Affari the title earns 0,42% to 0,22 euros.

Based on the agreement with Dazn, Tim would get a discount of around 90-100 euros by giving up the exclusivity. In this way, the annual consideration paid to the platform (340 million plus other fees to reach 410 million a year) would decrease compared to the current disbursement, to the mutual satisfaction of the two partners.

The agreement is now expected to be examined by Tim's Board of Directors which meets today, August 3, to approve the accounts for the first half of 2022. The CEO Pietro Labriola will illustrate the half-year report to the analysts on Thursday and will be able to bring to his advantage the closure of a stranded game that has been dragging on for some time.

To definitively close the game, an agreement with will also be needed Sky, which could arrive as soon as possible: tomorrow according to the financial newspaper. The Comcast media company played a role in this affair, to expand penetration and get the Dazn app back on the Sky platform. The agreement reached between Dazn and Sky should also bring Dazn to channels within the Sky platform.
