TIM accelerates on 4G and extends it to all its customers. In fact, from Sunday 15 May, TIM consumer prepaid customers who still have an active 3G offer on their smartphone or tablet can switch for free to the services made available by the new generation mobile ultrabroadband network, which allows a maximum data transmission speed of up to 300 Download megabits per second.
Enabling the 4G service can be activated directly through the tim.it website.
"The initiative - writes the company in a statement - aims to make available to its customers a faster and more reliable infrastructure, capable of responding to the growing demand for mobile ultra-broadband and to improve the Internet browsing experience and the use of HD video streaming content, also in Full HD and 4K format, according to the digital life model”.
“Thanks to the investment plan dedicated to ultra-broadband – concludes the company – TIM now reaches over 4% of the population with 91G in around 6.300 municipalities. The goal is to reach 98% mobile ultrabroadband coverage by 2018”.
