Tim Brasil: 2022 revenues up 19,5%. Ebitda at 17,2%. Agreement with ASTM for the development of 4G

Tim Brazil, Tim's Brazilian subsidiary, has closed 2022 with revenues growing by 19,5%, at 21,6 billion reais. The ebitda rises by 17,2% (exceeded 10,2 billion reais) with one marginality equal to 47,4% of the turnover. Strong accelerated in the last three months of the year where i revenues have gone up by 22% to 5,87 billion reais, above 5,8 billion estimated da Bloomberg.

Partnership with the ASTM group to develop 4G in Brazil

Tim Brazil, and Ecovias do Araguaia, concessionaire of EcoRodovias, the Brazilian subsidiary of ASTM Group, an Italian group active in the management of motorway networks under concession, have announced a partnership for develop 4g coverage along 850 kilometers of motorway route.
It will be the longest stretch of highway in Brazil with uninterrupted mobile phone signal coverage

The agreement is the first in Brazil between a telecommunications company and a motorway concessionaire and marks one “Made in Italy” partnership in the South American country.

The details of the project

The 850 km of motorway section concerned connect il Center-North and Center-Sud of the country, from Tocantins a Goiás, on which 30.000 vehicles circulate daily.
The total catchment area affected by the operation is approx 900 thousand people with a positive impact on connectivity for residents of 33 municipalities, 88 public schools, 31 hospitals and numerous agri-food companies in the Region.
Il project was conceived da TIM Brasil to meet the requirements of gang of concession of Ecovias do Araguaia, which provides for the extension of the 4G mobile network, allowing the use of telecommunication between road users and the dealer service. On the motorway, currently, the mobile phone signal covers only 20% of the stretch.
The works will start during the year. Completion of works expected by September 2024.
