He leaves today At Digital School with TIM the TIM initiative carried out in collaboration with the MIUR, created with the aim of bringing teachers closer to the world and to digital tools to offer them an overview of the innovative technological applications that add value and new opportunities to teaching.
At Digital School with TIM it will last two years – school years 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 – and will involve Italian teachers from all schools of all levels. The project will start in the Lazio region where about 500 teachers distributed in the provinces of Rome, Viterbo, Frosinone, Latina and Rieti have already joined the initiative, to then continue in the remaining Italian regions.
“School is the place where our future is written, and there is no future without technological innovation. For this reason, for years now we have been committed on various fronts to the dissemination of the most advanced digital tools in teaching", said Marcella Logli, TIM Corporate Shared Value Director and General Director of the TIM Foundation. “If there are already many initiatives in the field to raise awareness and educate children, with this project, together with the MIUR, we have decided to directly involve the teachers of all Italian schools so that the culture of innovation spreads at all levels in the school world”.
The initiative is developed through two distinct moments. In the first phase, which takes place directly in the classroom, teachers will be shown the potential of the web, social networks, digital sharing tools and their possible use in teaching. During the meetings, the basics of coding will also be introduced with the aim of bringing teachers closer to computational thinking and computer language. In the second phase however, thanks to the scuoladigitale.tim.it portal, teachers will be able to explore the topics covered in the classroom, view video content, infographics and tutorials.
A Digital School with TIM is part of #ilfuturoèditutti, TIM's program of Corporate Shared Value initiatives for the creation of shared value between the Telecom Italia Group and the community in which it operates.
