The legibility of the dial with horizontal embossing in relief, a distinctive element of Nautilus, is amplified by the baton hour markers and the luminescent baton hour and minute hands, all in blackened white gold. The inimitable design of the steel case, bezel and integrated bracelet is emphasized by the refined sequence of satin and polished links applied by hand in a process that requires 55 production steps for each watch. The rugged case is waterproof to 120 meters. It houses the self-winding caliber 26-330 SC, a movement featuring various technical innovations and optimizations, as well as a stop-second mechanism that allows the time to be set to within one second. In 1851, Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co. entered into an agreement that made the American jeweler the first official retail partner for Patek Philippe watches in the US market. The sapphire crystal caseback of the limited edition bears the commemorative inscription “170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe”. It pays homage to the 170-year shared vision and historical ties that bind Patek Philippe to the United States. Today, Tiffany & Co. is the only retailer in the world whose name appears on a Patek Philippe dial, making every Tiffany-branded watch highly sought-after. Much has changed over the course of the 5711th, 1976th and XNUMXst centuries, but the relationship between Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe has only grown. This lot is a rare and extraordinary Nautilus limited series that exemplifies the strength of their long-standing partnership and is sure to delight any watch lover. The Nautilus reference XNUMX is the modern version of Patek Philippe's first luxury sports wristwatch, originally launched in XNUMX. This casual and elegant icon was first introduced in 2006 and will be retired from the collection in 2022. After the December 11 auction, the remaining watches in the series will be available exclusively through the Tiffany locations in New York, Beverly Hills and San Francisco that carry Patek Philippe.

100% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit The Nature Conservancy, one of the world's most respected environmental organizations.

Aurel Bacs, Senior Consultant, Bacs & Russo, said: “Since my teens and early days as a watch lover, I grew up seeing the Nautilus with its slim, timeless design and muted dial colors like deep blue and champagne, later white. and more recently olive green. I remember my jaw dropping when I was first shown an image of this latest and final iteration of the 5711 and couldn't believe my eyes. The introduction of a bold pastel color paired with the Tiffany & Co. logo was unimaginable to me. Not only is it a first for a Nautilus, but for any Patek Philippe wristwatch as well. It is as groundbreaking and groundbreaking as when Warhol and Lichtenstein's Pop Art wrote a new chapter for the visual arts or when Elvis Presley created a completely new genre of music."
