Good news for public and private employees. There thirteenth 2022 about to arrive. In fact, if 16 million pensioners were able to enjoy the crediting of the additional month's salary already at the beginning of the month, when the December social security check arrived, 17,8 million public and private employees will have to wait a few more days. But already in the middle of next week and in any case by December 20, the wait will be rewarded. In the truest sense of the word. But who gets the thirteenth 2022, when does it arrive and how is it calculated? Here's everything you need to know.
Thirteenth month 2022: who gets it?
There are three categories that are entitled to the thirteenth 2022:
- retirees,
- civil servants,
- private employees.
The former, as mentioned, have already received it, for the others the accreditation varies according to the sector and the contract.
Generally speaking, we can say that the tSixth month 2022 it is due to all pensioners (even those who receive a survivor's pension) and to all employees with fixed-term and permanent contracts, including apprentices and part-time employees. They are also entitled to the additional monthly payment:
– domestic workers,
– housekeepers and carers,
– babysitter.
The thirteenth is NOT due instead to VAT numbers and self-employed workers, para-subordinate and project workers, interns and recipients of a carer's check or Naspi.
Thirteenth civil servants 2022: when and how does it arrive?
La thirteenth is paid before the holiday season and in any case no later than Christmas Eve. It can arrive in a paycheck, together with the salary, or through a separate slip. For public employees, for example, the disbursement takes place on the Noipa slip. For certain categories, however, there are specific dates:
- Kindergarten and primary school teachers: 14th December;
- administrative staff of the provincial directorates of the Treasury with roles of fixed expenditure: 15th December;
- temporary substitute teaching staff: 16 December,
- remaining state personnel: 16th December.
Thirteenth private employees: when does it arrive?
In this case there are no fixed dates, but it depends on the type of national collective agreement. Usually the thirteenth should be accredited by the employeror between 14 and 20 December. It can arrive together with the salary or with a separate slip. There is also the possibility of paying the thirteenth month in installments, distributing it over several months.
Thirteenth month 2022: how is the amount calculated and how is it taxed?
THEamount of the thirteenth month is equal to one twelfth of the total received in one year. How is it calculated? By multiplying the gross monthly salary by the months worked and dividing everything by 12. If the worker has worked for less than 12 months, starting his activity after January or stopping it before December, the amount of the monthly salary (gross) must be multiplied by the number of months of effective work and then divided by 12. The gross fixed salary, without overtime or bonuses, must be taken as a reference. On the other hand, maternity and paternity or matrimonial leave, accidents at work, illnesses (within the contractual constraints envisaged), holidays, public holidays, etc. must be included in the calculation.
Sorrowful chapter: le cup. THEamount of the thirteenth month it is generally lower than that of the monthly salary. Why? Why is taxed more. In fact, the companies weigh on the additional month's salary Irpef withholdings and social security contributions to be paid for the employee's share. In addition to this, tax deductions for employees or those for dependent family members do not apply. Since there is no mitigation therefore, the net sum is reduced.
