A tasty broccoli cream soup to add flavor to the table but also to support research. Numerous beneficial effects have been attributed to broccoli, which concern many aspects of our organism. Several substances contained in broccoli have attracted the attention of researchers, who have examined them for their gastroprotective, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer and hepatoprotective properties. And also cardioprotective, anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory and regulator of the body's immune responses. Broccoli has also been studied in the prevention of diabetes and in the reduction of cholesterol levels in the blood. In some cases, an association has been seen between the consumption of broccoli and benefits for people's health, for example against Helicobacter pylori infection, the bacterium responsible for ulcers and stomach cancer. In others, broccoli compounds are studied to derive drugs and therapies. There is still a lot of room for further investigation to validate the evidence already observed and explore others, such as the effect of broccoli on the central nervous system.
