It's incredible that every time it rains heavily a metropolis of the caliber of Milan goes haywire because the Lambro, and sometimes the Seveso, overflows and floods the northern part of the city, up to Monza. It has happened punctually every year for over thirty years. Bad weather fault? Certainly yes but, above all, it is the fault of man and local and regional administrators. To avoid flooding, 4 lamination tanks would be needed, which are special tanks that govern and regulate the rain discharged into the sewers, but there is only one, activated last December in Bresso by the Municipality of Milan. In recent days it held out as long as it could but then surrendered to the violence of the rain. From lamination tanks three more would be needed: in Senago, Paderno Dugnano and Seveso but those three municipalities are sleeping, the Nimby effect is always looming and the whole of Milan pays for its failure to comply. It's time to say it clearly and to call the neighboring municipalities of Milan to their responsibilities. But it's about time he woke up too and above all Lombardy region and that the Salvini's League, rather than fluttering on the Bridge over the Strait, would at least resolve the emergency like that of Lambro and Seveso in a region where it has governed for years. Propaganda is easy but solving people's problems is a little less so. Down the tower
The Lambro floods Milan every year: the failure of neighboring municipalities and the Lombardy region to comply is a disgrace
The recurring flooding of Milan is not just the fault of climate change but of the negligence of neighboring municipalities and above all of the Lombardy region led by Salvini's League
