The jury decreed it Gambero Rosso 2024 Italian wine guide assigning it the maximum score among the wines classified with three glasses or Italian wine excellence. “A wine of spectacular richness – we read in the motivation – which manages to combine an extraordinary harmony, yet another confirmation of the Langa as one of the great terroirs of world oenology”. Coming from Friuli, the best white wine of the year is MarKo Primosic's Collio Chardonnay Riserva 2018 “which – write the jurors of the Guide – shows us once again how white Italians can be fascinating and long-lived”. The first podium among the bubbles of the year went to the "excellent" Franciacorta Nature 2016 by Gatti historic maison of the denomination. We instead move to central Italy for the best rosé wine of the year. It is Pettinella's Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Tauma 2022 “a rosé with a truly distinctive, irresistible artisanal feel”.
