Il MUSEC, Museum of Cultures of Lugano (Switzerland) inaugurates the project Global Aesthetics with a proposal that explores the relationship between contemporary art and the ideological and cultural context and in this context proposes Thai art with an exhibition by the artist Attasic Pokpong from the title The Presence, curated by Giancarlo Ermotti, Paolo Maiullari and Nora Segreto.
Pokpong and the face
La woman of Attasit Pokpong, is inspired by his wife, portrayed in the foreground and frontally and with an oriental charm with a deep gaze capable of communicating with the viewer. For Pokpong, the female face is the absolute symbol of emotion and the communicative form par excellence
Pokpong and the colore
The colors of colore used in his paintings draw meanings from the colors of history, society, politics and culture in a sort of code that celebrates diversity and advocates respectful coexistence.
Pokpong and the reflection
A new experiment by the artist is that of reflection of people and things on the lenses of the sunglasses of its protagonists. It is through the mirror that Pokpong evokes contemporary society, the past, the other and the future.
