Following the earthquake that occurred in recent days in the province of Catania, which caused numerous and extensive damages in the municipalities affected, the Unicredit bank, very present in Sicily, has launched a sign of solidarity by pledging to support the people and businesses damaged by the earthquake. The package of extraordinary measures will be activated for the municipalities concerned in the province of Catania (Aci Catena, Aci Sant'Antonio, Acireale, Santa Venerina, Viagrande and Zafferana Etnea).

Among the planned initiatives, Unicredit will offer, starting next week, one 12-month moratorium on mortgage and unsecured mortgage loan installments for businesses, with legal/operating headquarters in the areas affected by the earthquake that suffered damage, and for all private customers holding mortgage loans residing in one of the municipalities affected by the event. Furthermore, to meet the first and most urgent needs, the bank will make available a "Support Loan" with a subsidized rate for private customers residing in the Municipalities affected by the telluric movement who have suffered damage and the "New credit package for businesses" with line of unsecured/mortgage loans at favorable conditions in favor of business customers with registered/operating headquarters in the municipalities affected by the event.

All Unicredit branches present in the area will be able to explain to customers the procedures necessary for obtaining the suspension of payment of loan installments and for further information.
