Earthquake in Linkiesta, the site of current affairs and political and economic investigations born two years ago and directed until a few hours ago by Jacopo Tondelli, a brilliant journalist of the new generation with a past at Corriere della Sera. The straw that broke the camel's back was the sudden dismissal of co-director Massimiliano Gallo without Tondelli's knowledge. At that point – as Tondelli explains – “a day comes and you realize that it is the day when you have to leave and you have no other choice”. A director with a straight back does exactly that.
“One cannot expect – adds Tondelli – to give fleas to power, its tics, its arrogance, its errors of evaluation and management, and then nod and maybe even thank you in front of a gesture that clearly smacks of exhaustion ”.
