TerniEnergia enters the gas sector with New Gas Trade

The company active in the energy sector from renewable sources has concluded the acquisition of 85% of New Gas Trade for 150 thousand euros – The operation represents the company's entry into the natural gas and liquefied natural gas market.

TerniEnergia enters the gas sector with New Gas Trade

TerniEnergiasigned an agreement with La Mercantile Srl of La Spezia for the acquisition of 85% of the share capital of New Gas Trade Srl (NGT), which operates in the upstream sector of natural gas and liquefied natural gas. The price of the sale of the company shares was 150 thousand euros. The only other shareholder of NGT is now Intermonte Holding SIM.

Through this acquisition, TerniEnergia enters the market of natural gas and liquefied natural gas, following up on the objective of encouraging growth through acquisitions contained in the "Fast on the smart energy road" business plan, presented to the market on 9 February.

Satisfied the President and CEO of TerniEnergia Stefano Neri: “Through the acquisition of 85% of NGT, the TerniEnergia Group wants to achieve the objective of completing the offer relating to energy management, guaranteed by Free Energia, through access to the dual fuel market for industrial customers. This operation will enable the activation of an effective commercial loyalty tool (mainly cross-selling of gas on the basis of energy customers) and will, at the same time, represent a tool for developing new customers."
