Terna signs a 300 million euro credit line linked to ESG indicators

After the Green Hybrid Bond issued in early February, this second transaction strengthens the integration of green objectives into the company's business strategy

Terna signs a 300 million euro credit line linked to ESG indicators

Terna has signed a ESG Linked Term Loan bilateral agreement for a total amount of 300 million euro with Intesa Sanpaolo – IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division – as original lender and sustainability coordinator. The credit line will have a duration of 2 years, with a rate linked to the performance of the company that manages the national electricity transmission grid in relation to specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets.

The new operation is added to the issue of a Green Hybrid Bond at the beginning of February, and allows the company to "be able to count on adequate liquidity for the current rating level and confirms the group's strong commitment to the introduction of a model aimed at increasingly consolidating sustainability as a strategic lever for the creation of value for all its stakeholders”, reads a note.
