Terna, 10 projects selected for Next Energy

The chosen startups access a personalized incubation path for a maximum duration of 3 months: only one will be awarded a 50.000 euro voucher.

Terna, 10 projects selected for Next Energy

There are 10 innovative projects, selected by Call for Ideas of the fourth edition of Next Energy, who access a personalized incubation path with a maximum duration of 3 months, managed by Terna and Cariplo Factory, and 5 startups of the Call for Growth who begin the phase of engaging with Terna, within Terna's Innovation Hubs. The Jury, made up of representatives of Terna, Fondazione Cariplo and Cariplo Factory, evaluated the 14 projects of the Call for Ideas and 10 of the Call for Growth, to identify solutions and technologies capable of creating new synergies with Terna to make the electrical system flexible and responsive to the major changes taking place.

For both Calls, the areas of interest set out in the call for the fourth edition of Next Energy focus on the tools enabling the energy transition towards a more efficient, safe and sustainable system, including: robotics, internet of things, energy tech, materials technologies, electric mobility, storage, environment/infrastructure integration and digitalisation. Of the 10 projects selected by the Call for Ideas (TRL required between 3 and 6) that access the incubation program supported by Cariplo Factory, and in synergy with Terna's Innovation Hubs, based on the needs of individual projects and their geographical location, only one will win a voucher worth 50.000 euros usable in services aimed at the acceleration process of the project.

Five are instead the startups selected by Call for Growth (TRL needed between 6 and 8) who are now accessing the Cariplo Factory Open Innovation platform to start a process aimed at defining areas of synergy between the single start-up and Terna: the engage process will identify pilot projects to be developed at Terna's Innovation Hub.
