Terna: ready connection with Capri

With an investment of over 100 million euros - of which 85 million financed by the EIB - Terna has built a 150 kV alternating current cable power line, 31 km long (30 submarines + 1 terrestrial).

Very little left now. In a few days Capri will be entirely powered by Terna's national electricity grid for the first time.

According to what is learned, the electrical connection has now been completed, the island has already been powered for a few weeks also through the cable and within a few days the new system will be at full capacity.

The work will guarantee greater safety, continuity and quality of service, as well as an increase in the reliability of the electricity system, thanks to the cut of 4 million kWh/year in the energy not supplied, with savings for the entire system.
